Jigna Chaturvedi
Inspired by the works of legendary artists of the 19th century, Jigna has reflected on her canvas the beauties around her through the impressionistic and realistic styles of painting.
She is a passionate self trained painter. The context, and the colors, which ultimately exude happy feelings are the factors that inspire her. She, therefore, does not restrict her work to one concept but allows her flow towards any visual delight that might excite and inspire her.
Being an avid traveler and a nature loving person she is always quite inundated with concepts and visuals which she captures, to be transformed with care and perfection on her canvas.
For the current series, she drew her inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of India, which is reflected in the over two thousand year old paintings at the various historical sites in India.
With a Graduation in the field of Commerce, and a post graduation Diploma in Business Management, she worked for over 16 years in the corporate world as a senior executive of a Public Sector Organization in India. She pursued her painting hobby, though scantily, while she balanced her family and work life.
Encouraged by her family, she had her first Oil on Canvas exhibition in 2004, in Mumbai, India.
