Rikki's joy is in making people smile. The colors and patterns found in her work frequently have that effect on visitors to her studio. She has been a professional potter for more than 40 years, working her way through various styles. Her early mediums include raku and stoneware. She currently creates both functional and sculptural pieces in all shapes and sizes using white earthenware clay decorated with brilliant under glazes. Her work has traveled nationally and internationally. In 2000 her bowl, "Running Man", was acquired by the Renwick Museum of American Craft, which is a division of the Smithsonian Museum.
